Food Fest Performers

The Cowsills (12:00-12:45PM)
The Cowsills are an American singing group from Newport, Rhode Island who were the inspiration for the television Partridge Family. They specialized in great harmonies and the ability to sing and play music at an early age. The band was formed in the spring of 1965 by brothers Bill Cowsill, Bob Cowsill and Barry Cowsill, then shortly after, added John Cowsill. Originally Bill and Bob played guitar and Barry was on drums, then John learned how to play drums and joined the band, so Barry went to bass. After their initial success, the brothers were later joined by their siblings Susan Cowsill and Paul Cowsill and their mother, Barbara. Bob Cowsill fronts this four-piece group and plays lots of great 60's music along with the hits of The Cowsills.

Hanah Moon (1-1:45PM)
Hanah Moon's passion for singing sparked when a little mermaid sang across a silver screen and enchanted her. She went on to sing in the church for over 13 years, in a show choir for four years, tour with a Christian band across the country, and sing at weddings over the weekends. Born and raised in Southern California, she was exposed to all kinds of music genres and still has a hard time pinpointing just one that is her favorite. Her amazingly talented band mates have come together from all different walks of her life from the high school band she helped start, the church she grew up in, and the band she proudly toured the US with.

Rio Wyles -- MC SoulShocker (2-2:15PM)
Early on, Rio announced his intention to work in the music business, to be a rapper and own his own record label. Language was a struggle, so the thought of Rio as a rapper was clearly a dream. But with the upcoming release of "Who Am I?", a collaboration with Rev Run of RunDMC for the Miracle Project, this proud member of the Class of 2010 at Hamilton Music Magnet High School and recent first prize winner in LAUSD's Beyond the Bell show at Paramount Studios for his club banger, "Dancing on the Ceiling," is on the verge of realizing that dream.

Arrest My Sister (2:30-3:30PM)
This Los Angeles band attacks the scene with its catchy rock and pop songs. With members from Israel, Washington D.C., and of course California; this quartet produces a fresh sound that radio DJ Bubba Jackson said, "Is one song away from a record deal." Fronted by lead singer with autism, Scott Siegel, Arrest My Sister is a blend of soul pounding rock n' roll, heartfelt balladry and modern hooks with a 70's swagger. They're a handful of guys with some big sounds and even bigger ideas who hope to be part of a new music and social revolution. One that not only brings the house down, but that promotes diversity and inclusion, celebrating the simple joys of life through music, social interaction and self fulfilled growth.
